# Zether USD Introduction

#### 1.1 Background

The stablecoin market has grown into a cornerstone of crypto adoption. However, it remains limited by chainspecific implementations, fragmented liquidity, and privacy concerns. Zether USD aims to fill this gap by launching a unified, stable, multi-chain coin that emphasizes discretion, scale, and integration with the most used blockchain environments.

#### 1.2 Vision

Zether USD is built on the idea that digital dollars should be stable, accessible, and optionally private. It is a currency for DeFi, global trade, and on-chain finance, operating seamlessly across top EVM chains with scalable, low-gas architecture.
